Jovan Kamcev, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering and Macromolecular Science and Engineering at the University of Michigan. His research focuses on developing structure/property relationships to design next-generation membranes and sorbents for water treatment, energy generation, and energy storage applications.
Kamcev has been recognized with the US Department of Energy Early Career Award, National Science Foundation’s Faculty Early Career Development Program (CAREER) award and North American Membrane Scientist-Young Membrane Scientist Award.

Kamcev received his BE from Stony Brook University in Chemical and Molecular Engineering/Applied Math and Statistics and earned his MSE and PhD in Chemical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
