Paul Anderson, PhD, has over 40 years of experience in human health and ecological risk assessment. Since 2000, Anderson has led research on the presence and effects of pharmaceuticals and personal care products in surface water. His research began with the development of a screening level model that predicts the concentration of human pharmaceuticals and other compounds released from wastewater treatment plants in surface water across the United States.
Since 2009, he has served as a national expert on several Science Advisory Panels established by the State Water Resources Control Board to provide recommendations for monitoring of CECs in recycled water and surface water.
Anderson has an MA and PhD in Biology from Harvard University and a BA in Biology from Boston University.
