WHO WE ARE

NWRI was established in 1991 to address water supply and quality issues facing our nation through cooperative research. We are a California Joint Powers Agency (JPA) and 501c3 nonprofit corporation based in Fountain Valley, California. In conjunction with our JPA partners and the Joan Irvine Smith and Athalie R. Clarke Foundation, we promote the protection, maintenance, and restoration of drinking water supplies as well as freshwater and marine environments.
