NWRI Seeking Part-Time Administrative Assistant
​The National Water Research Institute (NWRI) seeks a detail-oriented and highly organized, part-time Administrative Assistant. Reporting to the Project Manager, this role is responsible for managing records, planning meetings, administrative communication, and Board activities. Primarily based in NWRI’s Fountain Valley office, the Administrative Assistant will support regular, in-person meetings.

Physical Requirements
The role involves prolonged periods of sitting, regular computer use, and lifting up to 25 pounds. Occasional evening or early morning meetings with local travel may be required.

Compensation & Benefits

Part-Time (15 – 25 hours per week)

Pay Range: $25 - $28 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications

Key Responsibilities
-
Provide administrative support to managers, project teams, and the Board of Directors.

Maintain organizational records, including paper and digital file storage and retrieval to support compliance, reporting, and archiving needs.

Follow up on action items to ensure timely completion by staff, vendors, and Board members.

Coordinate logistics for virtual and in-person meetings, including agendas, materials, and venues; document and maintain meeting minutes and follow-up tasks.

Administer Brown Act compliance, including posting notices, agendas, and meeting materials.

Support the Executive Director, including calendar management, meetings, document preparation, and routine correspondence.

Travel locally to meetings, workshops, and events as needed.

Maintain standardized templates, documents, and forms.

Manage the digital document lifecycle from creation through archiving.

Draft clear, professional written communications.

Support the Communications Manager with routine website updates and content updates.
